Weather station

This personal weather station was installed in December 2017, although data from that far back is not available on-line.

The equipment is a Davis Instruments Vantage Vue integrated sensor suite with a console. The sensor suite is mounted on a steel pole approximately 1.8 metres (six feet) high above a grassy lawn area. There are trees about 40 metres away, and some small buildings, which will reduce the indicated wind speed to some extent.

The console is connected to the Internet with a MeteoPi Ethernet Logger which uploads data to:
WeatherUnderground,
WeatherLink.com, (Note this link erroneously says the location is in USA but is actually in Canada.)
and CWOP/Findu.

This web page in turn downloads data for the personal weather station from WeatherUnderground, as well as some publicly available sources such as Environment Canada.
